Maritim Indonesia – The Indonesian Port Business Association (ABUPI) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Maritime Anti-Corruption Network (MACN) as a strategic step to strengthen integrity and promote collective action between the public and private sectors in Indonesia’s port industry.

The signing ceremony was attended by Martin Benderson, Chief Partnership Officer of MACN; Martin Stene, Lead for Southeast Asia & Americas; Rizal Hadi, Senior Advisor for MACN Indonesia; as well as members of ABUPI’s Central and Regional Executive Boards.

ABUPI Chairwoman Liana Trisnawati emphasized that integrity is the foundation for building trust and ensuring sustainable growth in the port sector.

“Without integrity, there is no trust. And without trust, there is no sustainable growth,” she said, in Jakarta on Wednesday (11/2).

MACN Chief Partnership Officer Martin Benderson added that the collaboration marks an important milestone in joint efforts to create a transparent and integrated maritime business environment.

“This MoU represents a significant milestone in our collective efforts to enhance integrity and foster a transparent business environment that benefits all stakeholders in the Indonesian maritime sector,” Benderson said.

Through this MoU, both parties agreed to promote anti-corruption awareness, training, and education, as well as strengthen public–private collaboration to build a more transparent and trustworthy port sector. (ire djafar)
